Description
Photograph of a view of West Channel Road in Santa Monica from Chautauqua Boulevard and Pacific Coast Highway, [s.d.]. At center is an unpaved street with several early-model automobiles and trucks parked along the edge. There are low buildings on both sides of the street, as well as concrete sidewalks. A line of tall trees is visible in the background. A large unpaved street intersects West Channel Road in the foreground at a right angle. Legible signs include, from left to right: "Liquor Drugs", "Grocery", "Eat Real Chili", "Ballanlymes Sandwiches", "Lee Rose Casino Lunch Barbequed Mets Hamburger Hot Dogs", "Sam's Rite Spot", "Clam Chowder", "ABC", "Eastside [?] Beer", and "Barbeque".
