Photograph of a view of Avendia 16 de Septiembre, Guadalajara, Mexico, [s.d.]. Pillars and arches can be seen on the first story of a three-story building at right. Street lamps can be seen to the left of the building, while an automobile can be seen on the road running from the center foreground towards the background. A few people can be seen standing on the side of the street, while trees and buildings can be seen at left. A sign on a building at left reads, "[...]s De Franci[...] y Ja Sucs".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
