Description
Photograph of a view of the street, possibly Hyperion Ave., from the Los Angeles Oil Field, ca.1935. Three stripes are painted in the middle of the street, which, lined with street lamps and houses, extends into the distance. Two automobiles drive towards the left, one with the rightmost street line between its wheels. At the right of the foreground, an oil derrick shoots from the ground. Beside it is a house-like structure followed by row upon row of homes, in the midst of which a utility pole stands tall. In the distance, clouds float above a foliage-dotted hillside.
