Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of the junction of Main and Spring Streets near Ninth Street, looking south, showing the Joe Toplitzky Company and automobiles, ca.1926. The paved lanes of Main Street and Spring Street run horizontally through the image, intersecting at an acute angle in the left foreground. Automobiles drive along both streets, while many are also parked along the far street; a bus sits near the intersection of the two streets. Both streets are lined by commercial buildings, with many highrises visible along the rear street and in the background.; Legible signs, from left to right, include: "W.M. Garland Building", "Joe Toplitzky Co", "Auto Park. Inside Parking", "Orpheum Vaudeville", "Radio Shop", "Printing. Rubber Stamps", and "The Los Angeles Morris Plan Company".
