Description
Photograph of "Santa Cruz Scenery", ca.1900. The scene is a sea of rooftops with groups of tall, dark trees standing amongst them. A tall, lightly-colored building with a tower behind it stands above the others on the left, as does a steeple of a church slightly left of center. Several large, fenced yards of grass lie in the foreground with houses standing along the edges. A faint mountain side appears to stand behind the trees in the background.; Caption reads: "Santa Cruz Scenery. 156 Pacific Avenue, Santa Cruz, California. Mr. and Mrs. Morris, photo". On back of photoprint is a list of landmark trees and a brief description about each tree.
