Description
Photograph of the USS Maryland passing behind the lighthouse at Los Angeles Harbor, [s.d.]. The lighthouse can be seen in the foreground at left on the end of an artificial island. It is a tall, cylindrical structure. The massive battleship can be seen in the background, headed to the right. The large guns of the main battery are visible in four turrets on the deck of the ship. In the foreground, several smaller boats are visible.
