Description
Photograph of mail distribution at the main post office, Stevenson Street entrance, San Francisco, 1906. The large, stone post office building stands on the right with a wide, arched doorway and elaborate lights on either side of the entrance. Finely dressed people are crowded at the steps of the building reaching for packages as the men at the front pass them back. A group of women in dresses and hats sit on a bench on the far right while a man holds a bicycle on the left. Several buildings can be seen in the background.
