Description
Photograph (streetscape, horizontal photography) of the exterior view of the Scottish Rite Cathedral near completion of construction, 1900. The three-story building has a flight of stairs leading to the portico supported by ionic columns. Two buttresses flank the portico providing even more support for the structure. Each buttress has a lamp about midway up and a ornamental(?) pole at the top. The façade of the building is symmetric. A pair of young palms are planted on each sides of the building. Construction materials (lumber, a bucket, and two wheelbarrows) are scattered around the portico. A man is standing near a utility pole (at right).
