Description
Photograph (streetscape, horizontal photography) of the First Church of Christ Scientist of Los Angeles, 635 W. Seventeenth Street, 1904. A rough, dusty road lies across the foreground while the large, stone church stands behind it at center. Two trees stand along the sidewalk in front of the church, one to the far left and the other to the right. Steps lead to the column-guarded entrance of the church. Plaques are displayed above the three doors behind the columns while a cross is sculpted at the top of the building.; Donated by Jim Lewis.
