Description
Photograph of a view of a Captain Banning Line stagecoach and team, possibly a recreation, ca.1875(?). A team of six horses pulls a darkly-colored, enclosed stagecoach down a low slope in a grassy field. A man in a suit and hat sits on the left edge of the outside bench of the stagecoach, holding the many reins. A slight cloud of dust from the dirt trail on which they are traveling hangs in the air near the horses' feet. Trees are visible in the background. Picture file card reads "Capt. Banning stage as in early day service, ca.1875. (date likely refers to date of assumed service: date of photo obviously later and probably on Catalina during Banning ownership)".
