Description
Photograph of composite of two views Las Bóvedas (the vaults) and Monument to the Martyrs, Cartagena, Colombia, [s.d.]. In the top image at left, a large rectangular building near a group of trees can be seen in the background. At center, an automobile can be seen near a tree with a person standing near its base. To the far right, a series of large archways can be seen extending into the extreme background and at right. Caption at the bottom of the image reads: "Cartagena, Colombia-- Las Bovedas (the vaults)".; In the bottom image, a path can be seen in the foreground extending from left to right. A bench can be seen near a line of trees on both the far left and far right sides. At center, the path can be seen extending into the extreme background. Along both sides of the path, additional benches can be seen. In the extreme background at center, a large monument can be seen. Caption at bottom of image reads: "Cartagena, Colombia-- monument to the martyrs in the Parque del Centenario". Photo sleeve reads: "Copied from prints of Edgar Lloyd Hampton".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
