Photograph of Kilauea Volcano House, showing large crowd in background, Hawaii National Park, [s.d.]. In the extreme foreground at center, lines of plants can be seen. To the right, a small path can be seen curving into the background. In the background at center, a large crowd of people can be seen posing for the camera. To the left, a large two-story building can be seen. A wide awning hangs out over the front of the building with several columns supporting it, and two automobiles can be seen nearby. In the extreme background to the right, a giant cloud of smoke can be seen near a smaller building. Photo sleeve reports: "Copied April 1926".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
