Description
Photograph of children standing outside of the Mission San Gabriel Archangel, taken by photographer Edward Vischer, ca.1900. The silhouettes of two children in hats stand to the left of center with the edge of the adobe mission in visible disrepair to the right. The spackle is chipping as well as the terracotta roof tiles, whose supports are caving-in. A secondary building is visible in the background behind a tree, surrounded by a picket fence. The leftmost child is short and appears to be a toddler.
