Description
Photograph of a large music book open to "A Vesper [hymn] for the Feast of Santa Clara", located in the library at Mission Santa Barbara and Santa Clara Mission, ca.1905. It was originally used at Mission Santa Clara. The music is dedicated to Mission Santa Clara. The text is in Latin. One sentence, in Spanish "Dia de Santa Clara fiesta de esta Mission a Visperas" (recto, center) indicates the original mission for which the vesper was used. The open book sits on top of a stand inside a room with many paintings on the wallpapered walls. Another room is partially visible through an entry in the background.
