Father Reposo reading at Mission San Jose de Guadalupe, 1904
Description
Photograph of Father Reposo reading at Mission San Jose de Guadalupe, 1904. He wears a cassock, standing before an open book on a cabinet. He has short grey hair and wears round spectacles. His back and left side are to the camera. An altar is visible in front of him. Part of a statue of a figue is visible sitting on the altar. The book from which he reads is illustrated. The chapter at which the book is open is "Dominica de passione". One and one half pages are mostly legible and begin "S[...]io ad sanctum Patrum. Introitus. Ps.42. Judica me Deus, et discerne causam meam de gente non sancta: ab homine iniquo, et doloso eripe me: quia tu es Deus meus, et fortitudo mea" ....
