Description
Photograph of the painting "He Is Risen" by Axel Ender, depicting an angel alighted on a tomb, Norway, [s.d.]. This photograph is likely of an unoriginal copy of the more famous of four original Axel Ender paintings (1887) which is on display in the Molde Cathedral. It shows a female angel seated on a slightly opened stone casket at left. Three onlookers at the right are dressed in robes and gaze in amazement, the foremost holding each other's hand.
