Photograph of an exterior view of Saint Vincent's Hospital, 1937. The seven-story hospital building stretches across the image from right to left. Rows of rectangular windows can be seen along the entire front of the building, while arch-shaped windows can be seen on the top and bottom floors. A stairwell can be seen through the windows at left. The entrance to the hospital is visible through an archway at center. Automobiles can be seen parked along the edge of a paved road in the foreground.

Description The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
