Description
Photograph of a drawing by Edward Vischer depicting a catholic chapel at the Mission San Rafael, May 3, 1868 (May 3 1879?). Horses graze and lay in a foreground pasture, surrounded by fence beyond which a road is visible where a carriage rides by. Beyond this, a second fence can be seen in front of the modest one-story catholic chapel, whose roof is topped by its bell tower and cross. Smaller buildings can be seen to either side of it and mountains are visible in the background.
