Photograph of celebrators and streetcars during the opening of the Pico Heights Electric Railway, the first electric railroad from Plaza to Pico Heights, 1887. Men and young boys dressed in suits pose in front of two open-air streetcars, an open field visible behind them. The cars, whose sides read "Plaza, Pico Street, Pico Heights" were the part of the first electric railroad. The engine car for the streetcars and a horse-drawn carriage can be seen to the far right.
