Description
Photograph. "General view of the new $2,000,000 post office at Alameda and Macy streets, which will be opened for use early in May It is of modified Spanish architecture, wit two 70-foot towers on the Alameda street side. Wrlking space is provided for 1800 employees. Three penthouses have been built on the roof. The exerior is of reinforced concrete." -- Examiner clipping attached to verso, dated 28 January 1940.; Streetscape. Horizontal photography.
