Description
Photograph of a man posing next to an aeroculator in Covina, ca.1930. The large metal machine can be seen at center. It is on wheels and has a large hand crank at right. The man, who is wearing light-colored clothes and a patterned tie, can be seen standing at left. In the background, several citrus trees that have been treated by the aeroculator are visible. Wooden boxes are visible under the trees.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
