Description
Photograph of an exterior view of Rancho Agua Hedionda in Carlsbad, showing a dog in the foreground, ca.1930. The adobe rancho is shown from the front, It's porch in disrepair, with only a few pickets visible at center. Most of the spackle has come away from the walls, revealing the brick beneath, and several shingles are missing from the roof. The ground in front is arid and gravelly. This building was the home of Sylvester Marron in Mararon Canyon. A previous record reads "Oceanside to Vista -- Sylvester was the son of Juan Maria Marron, grantee of Agua Hedionda Rancho".
