Description
Photograph of an exterior view of an adobe rancher home in Santa Clara, ca.1900. The rancher, later a women's club, is shown at center, partially obscured by a thicket of small trees in the left foreground through which the door to the adobe can just barely be seen. Two large windows are shown to the right, underneath the overhang of the adobe's roof, which covers a tiled patio area. Farther right, the bare adobe bricks of the house can be seen on the home's narrow side, their spackle having eroded away. A brick chimney is visible at the center of the peaked terracotta-tiled roof.
