Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Swycaffer adobe near Ballena in San Diego County, ca.1930. The adobe is a small rectangular building at center with a flat wooden roof. The building is in a state of disrepair, and a large section of the wall is missing at left while the roof has fallen in at right. There is a man in a light-colored shirt, light pants, tall leather boots, and a light cap standing in front of the building at center. The adobe is surrounded by tall, thin trees, and the ground is sparsely covered with dry brush.
