Description
Photograph of an exterior view of General Castro's adobe house in San Juan Bautista, ca.1910. The building is a long, two story adobe structure with a covered balcony on the second level. There are three wood-framed doorways and two wood-framed windows on the first floor, and a wooden railing encircles the upper balcony. Much of the white spackle is missing from the adobe walls, revealing many bare bricks. There are three large trees in front of the house, and several more trees can be seen beyond the terracotta tiles of the roof.
