Description
Photograph of the Drum Barracks Old Officer's Quarters in Wilmington, Los Angeles, 1928. Bushes and trees obscure much of the two-story clapboard-sided house, which is missing shutters from several of its visible windows. A clearing is visible to the right of the property's post-and-rail fence, behind which a one-story annex to the building is visible. A paved street and sidewalk are visible in the foreground. This was later to become the site of the first telegraph station in California.
