Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the First Presbyterian Church on the corner of Second Street and Broadway, looking southeast, Los Angeles, after 1881. A horse-drawn coach stands parked in the street to the right of the Gothic 1st Presbyterian Church and its impressively tall spire. A man stands in the unpaved street farther to the right. A wrought-iron fence enclosed a garden of topiary across the street to the left. The Jewish Synagogue can be seen behind the church to the right. The church was located at the south-east corner of Broadway and Second Street; it was sold in 1897, and presumed demolished soon thereafter.
