Description
Photograph of a crowd filling Colorado Street after the Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, ca.1926. The back of an early automobile can be seen in the center foreground, separated from a larger group of cars in the background which are similarly swamped by the massive waves of pedestrians filling the image. To the right, the Owl Drug Co. pharmacy can be seen on the corner. Banners hang from the streetcar cables overhead, along with an old-fashioned traffic-light visible to the left. One- to three-story commerical buildings line the street to either side.; Legible signs from left to right include: "Billiards", "Santa Fe Cigars", "Goods", "Shoe Repairing", "Tires", "Hotel", "Pasadena Theatre", "Crown", "Christmas Tree Street of Dreams -->", "--> Stadium, Green Tickets", Dr. L.H. Lawson, Dentists. Painless Dental Work", and "Don't Forget your Kodak Films for the Big Parade".
