Description
Photograph of floats moving down Colorado Street during the Rose Parade in Pasadena, ca.1926. Spectators are crowded along the sidewalks, spilling over onto the streets while horse-drawn floats make their way down the road. Flags hang from wires stretched overhead. At center, two men march with a banner that reads "Pasadena Humane Society", behind which a lightly-colored horse is tended to on a float by a man in arabesque robes. Commercial highrises line the street to either side.; Legible signs from left to right include: "Anderson Typewriter Company (all makes)", "Bartmann", "Woolen Mills", "Geo. Penny Photos", "Security National Bank", "F.C. Nash & Co. China, House Furnishings, Toys, Goodrich, Dry Goods, Shoes", "[...] Clothes. Brenner & Wood", "Ceasar Cafe. Spaghetti Ravioli", and "Morse Heckman".
