Description
Photograph of a view of Old Town San Diego taken from the hill where the U.S. Grant house stood, 1876. A Street is in the foreground, bordered by a white picket fence. In the distance on the left edge of the image is the Horton House Hotel, while opposite it on the right side is the courthouse. Between the two is the U.S. Barracks. The land from A Street to the rest of the city is empty except for a small rectangular building on the left edge and a fenced in area on the right. A brewery is visible on B Street.
