Description
Photograph of a drawing of Sutter City, ca.1852. Three small tents and two small buildings constitute the fort. Four men are on horses (two galloping to the left). Two piles of barrels are near the shoreline at which is moored a tall sailing ship. Several trees are visible in the background. This was a shipping point in the 1850's. It was about 3 miles below Sacramento.
