Description
Photograph of a dirt road heading to the "Independence Tract" development in the San Fernando Valley, ca.1925. The narrow road is at center and disappears over a low ridge in the distance. To the left of the road is a large open field, while to the right is another field dotted with large trees. An early-model automobile can be seen driving in the middle of the road, while another car can be seen parked on the right side. Two people are standing near a bicycle at left.; Legible signs include, from left to right, "Calabasas Hollywood 27 Los Angeles 39", "'Independence' Tract Office", and "$495".
