Description
Photograph of North Outfall Sewer construction, [s.d.]. Image shows section 34A of the sewer construction. At center, a deep ditch can be seen with slanted dirt walls on both sides. At the center of the ditch, a large column can be seen with two wooden beams extending across the top of the ditch. A row of wooden planks have been placed along the beams, and a pile of wooden planks sits above the column. At the bottom of the column, a manhole opening can be seen. In the background, at least four men can be seen working. Previous version of record states: "Adjoining transition from 39 inch to 51 inch elliptical sewer".

Title California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960 
Description The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
