Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Wilshire Boulevard, looking west at night, March 28, 1928. The road runs from the foreground to the background at center and is lined with lights. Automobile lights form a line of light at left as a result of time-lapse photography. Several billboards can be seen on both sides of the road, and the Wilshire Boulevard Christian Church can be seen at right. Many houses are visible in the background. The Brown Derby is on the right side of the street.; Legible signs include, from left: "Ambassador Hotel and Shops", "Carthay Circle Tomorrow As Big as the Heart of All Humanity Four Sons", "Desmond's", "Richards-Wilcox", "Marshall Physical Culture", "Frigidare", "Eat in the Hat", "Palos Verdes Estates".
