Description
Photograph of a garden at Pierson residence on Third Street looking toward Spring Street, ca.1886-1887. This area was later the site of the Currier Building (Currey Building). View is looking toward Spring Street. Large trees and a thick growth of other plants surround the cobbled area where a group of five people can be seen. A woman wearing a hat sits on a small patch of grass while two men and two women stand near a group of trees. A hose snakes across the pavement between the group and the sitting woman. A picket fence fronts the property at left. Additional dwellings are visible in the background.
