Description
Photograph of a view of Wilshire Boulevard, looking east from Mariposa Avenue, 1949. Wilshire is at center and is a wide, six lane road with many automobiles on it. In the foreground at right is a tall Bank of America building, and many more buildings can be seen at left. In the distance at center, the spire of a large church is visible. An advertisement for Cadillac can be seen on a street corner at right, while two Cadillacs can be seen driving in front of it. The picture was taken before the Tishman buildings were built on the south side.
