Description
Photograph of an anti-nuclear billboard on Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood, June, 1981. Dark, broken letters are printed on the lightly-colored billboard and read "One Nuclear Blast Could be the Last!" The board hangs from a thin post above with a lightly-colored, brick building standing behind it. Two electrical lines extend across the board in front. "12'x28' Billboard mounted on top of a building lit by three florescent lights. Lettering on billboard 'One Nuclear Blast Could be the Last !'. Lettering in the lower right corner "Women Strike for Peace". This billboard is known to be available to activists group".

California Historical Society Collection, 1860-1960
Description
The California Historical Society Collection is incomparable for the documentary picture it provides of the growth of Southern California, particularly the development of the Los Angeles region, between 1860 and 1960. The collection contains more than 25,000 photographs. The full archive was placed on long-term deposit at USC in 1990 and includes the Title Insurance and Trust Company Collection, also known as TICOR, and the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection.
