Description
Photograph of a southward view of San Fernando Road at Tunnel Station Bridge before the construction of Foothill Boulevard, October 17, 1933. San Fernando Road runs from the foreground at left to the base of a line of hills in the background at right. It crosses a wide gap with a narrow bridge at right. An early automobile is parked near the side of the road at center. A tall hill can be seen on the side of the road at left. The hillsides are all covered with large bushes and trees. Several utility poles are visible at left. Compares to CHS-32532, which shows the same area after the construction of Foothill Boulevard.
