Description
Photograph of aerial view of flooded area of Covina and El Monte Highway, 1938. At center, a wide river can be seen passing over several large plots of land. The river extends from the foreground into the extreme background at right. To the left and right of the river, several small structures and large fields can be seen. At the center of the river, large trees can be seen emerging from the water's surface. In the background at center, the river can be seen crossing a street extending from left to right. The river widens out near the top of the image and forms another stream that branches out to the right. A large triangular patch of trees sits at the fork of the river.  Photoprint reads: "This photograph is loaned to you. Please return to: Illustrator. L.A. City Planning Dept.
