Description
Photograph of a view of Wilshire Boulevard looking northwest towards Hollywood from the Cathy Circle Theater, Los Angeles, ca.1930. A bicycle leans up against a triangular grass island in the middle of the two-lane boulevard, in which a statue has been erected. Train tracks run across the cracked street from left to right. Personal residences can be seen to the left, giving way to tenement buildings in the distance as the city approaches the mountains on the horizon. A small shack is visible on the open field to the left of the.
