Description
Photograph of fire fighters putting out a blaze in the forest, ca.1930. Seen from the bushes in the foreground, firemen douse the flames with fire hoses to the left and the right, just off a paved road cutting through the wilderness. Smoke billows just left of center. Farther left, a fire engine can be partially seen on the road, with one fireman to the right at the base of the column of smoke managing the others. Mountains are visible in the background.
