Description
Photograph of a birdseye view of Los Angeles, looking north on Hill Street from Eleventh Street, ca.1920. Hill Street runs from the foreground at left into the background at center. Many automobiles and pedestrians can be seen in the middle of the road, as well as along the edges. Large buildings housing shops can be seen on both sides of the street. The street itself has two sets of streetcar tracks running down the middle. The Pease Brothers building can be seen near seventh street at right.; Legible signs include, from left: "Kitchen", "Mackie-Foley Company Furniture Carpets", and "Strictly one price Pease Bros. Better Furniture, Better Carpets, Better Draperies, Better Trade Here".
