Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Los Angeles Mission's Plaza Church, ca.1889. The modest, two-story brick church stands to the left of center. Its doors are visible through an arched entranceway. Its bell tower is attached to the left side of the roof and appears to be something very similar to a gazebo in construction. Several porthole windows are installed in the building's upper levels, while a cross stands at the peak of the roof. A rancher-style house is visible behind a picket fence and a tree to the right, while a second, large home can be seen in the left distance on a hill, behind a brick wall. The road in front is unpaved. Two men stand under the shade of the tree, conversing.
