Description
Photograph of the painting "Salvage" by Munier, depicting cherubs dallying by a pond, [s.d.]. Two naked young children with small, birdlike wings are pictured at a stone slab at the mouth of a pond, laying on their stomachs. The leftmost cherub, who appears to be the oldest, fishes a pouch of arrows from the pond with a small bow, suggesting that he is Cupid or Eros. The other cherub watches intently. Painted 1894.
