Description
Photograph of the painting "By The River" by Corot, depicting women and children caught in the river wind, 1796-1875. A woman is shown from a distance to the left, leaning up against a bending tree, while a second woman sits on the ground with a child farther left. Tree leaves and flower blossoms from the meadow fill the air, while the wind bends yet another tree to the right. The lake, visible in the background, seems still and calm, however.
