Description
Photograph of the painting "Evening Prayer" by Kowalksi depicting a woman guiding a child through prayer, [s.d.]. The woman, dressed in her nightgown, sits to the left on what appears to be a bed or a marble slab. The child, kneeling with her hands folded in the woman's lap for prayer, is partially obscured by the woman's knees. In the right background, objects that appear to be lily petals sit beneath the edges of what might be a carpenter's lathe of some sort, suggesting that they are perhaps wood shavings. A window to the left backlights the figures, turning the woman's face into a silhouette and heavily shadowing the child's.
