Description
Photograph of the painting "The Guardian Angel" by Gus Schroeter, depicting an angel guiding a child through the forest, [s.d.]. A young girl, clothed in what appears to be a dress contemporary of the late ninteenth century, walks across a narrow bridge carrying a pitcher and a bouquet of flowers. The railing of the bridge is broken, and a dark forest is hinted at in the shadows of the upper background. Behind the young girl, a female angel dressed in a diaphanous white gown rises from the drop below to help the girl along, placing a hand at her back. A small start floats above the angel's head.
