Description
Photograph of the painting "Hope" by Watts, depicting a blindfolded minstrel seated on a hemisphere, [s.d.]. The minstrel is wrapped in a cloth robe that bunches and wrinkles around his limbs, while he bends deeply to put his ear near the body of his lute, which he holds to the right, plucking. Below him, a half-globe supports his weight, appearing to rise from a liquid of some kind. The background is neutral.
