Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Stearns residence in Los Angeles's St. James Park, ca.1900. The two-story Colonial Revival home is at center with its front porch facing slightly to the left. Four large columns can be seen in front of the main entrance. The walls of the building are light-colored, while the roof is covered by dark shingles. Three chimneys can be seen protruding from the roof. A small balcony is visible at right. A low brick and wood wall encircles the house. In the foreground, a line of trees runs parallel to an unpaved street.
