Photograph of hospital superintendent and administrative staff on the steps of the Administration Building, Los Angeles County General Hospital, ca.1925. Men wearing suits can be seen standing in front, while women wearing light colored dresses can be seen behind them to the left. A group of men and women can be seen at center, while more women are visible at right. Striped awnings can be seen above some of the windows on the building behind the people. Potted plants can be seen at left and right, while a small sign can be seen below the plant at right.

Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce Collection 1890-1960
Description
The more than 3,600 unique photographs of this collection document the Chamber's promotional efforts during the city's early years. In addition to stock photographs, there are pictures of the elaborate booths and displays that the Chamber prepared for use at state fairs and international trade shows. The photographic collection contains images showing the growth of important municipal enterprises, such as ground transportation systems, aviation, and shipping. In addition there are about 1,000 lantern slides in this collection -- not yet fully digitized.
